Review: Nicholas and Alexandra: The Letters: Episode 1.
An interesting look at possibly the most known part of Russian history. By looking at the letters it is very easy to see how in love Nicholas and Alexandra were.
The first part in the two part series by Dr Suzannah Lipscomb is very focused on Nicholas and Alexandra’s courtship and family.
Both Suzannah as presenter and the guests who are used to add extra information are very skilled in keeping your attention and giving you plenty of detail.
Rating: 10/10.
Review: Nicholas and Alexandra: The Letters: Episode 2.
The second episode in the two-part series focuses on how Nicholas’ behaviour during World War 1 lead to an angry public and the eventual massacre of the Romanov family.
Again the series is presented by Dr Suzannah Lipscomb with additional talking head information from a range of top historians.
Rating: 10/10.
